Swizzles is an unfussy bar built for everyone in the community. Locals and travellers alike visit Swizzles on any given day. Minimist Design reached out to repay their service to the community and help ensure it's longevity.

Web Design Identity

Swizzles has been a staple of the local LGBTQ2+ community in Ottawa for many years and is a magnet for many out-of-towners looking for an all-inclusive place to unwind. Since the update, staff have noticed a steady stream of new faces and an uptick in unique visitors to the website.

Design

Swizzles was in desperate need of their online presence, the first impression that the website telegraphed to the world was a strong deterrent, but fancy was not the right direction for this project. Classic, clean and unfussy design was the approach used to polish the impression this community staple presents.

Function

Swizzles is now able to showcase their weekly and occasional special events, announce daily specials, and automatically push web content to social media to drive traffic with a back-end that makes it simple for them to manage their own content and make updates daily.
